TASTEFULLY DONE CATERING HAS OPENED IN HUDSON, NY



(September, 2010) Long established NYC caterers Jeanne and Chip Griffiths of Tastefully Done Catering and Events have opened a new catering kitchen on Warren Street in Hudson.

On becoming “empty nesters” the Griffiths, having experienced the area as a vacation retreat since childhood, decided on Hudson as a location for a permanent lifestyle change. “There is a nice blend of sophistication and historical integrity in the town as well as the desirable access to local agriculture” said Ms. Griffiths recently.

As a full service caterer, Tastefully Done assists their clients in all aspects of the event - from customized menu design and presentations to beverage service, staffing and equipment rentals. They manage the details from inception to completion; giving the host the opportunity to “be a guest at their own party”.

Looking to fill the needs of year round and seasonal customers, Tastefully Done will offer menu options to accommodate every budget and occasion - ranging from cocktail receptions, buffets, weddings, showers, birthdays and fund raising benefits to holiday & theme parties, retirements and picnics. And with Tastefully Done’s relocation to Hudson, they will have to look no further than their own region’s backyard for the source of their culinary inspiration. “Our menus will be prepared with sustainable local meats, dairy and produce from the Hudson Valley region focusing primarily on the Berkshires and Catskills” says Ms. Griffiths.

Starting this fall, Tastefully Done will also offer freshly prepared quick frozen home style meals ready to be heated up and served at your convenience. Special requests will be accommodated with advance notice.

BIOGRAPHIES


Since 1995 the Griffiths have been in partnership after independent careers in hotel management.

After graduating from Cornell's Hotel School, Jeanne rose to be the Assistant Director of Catering at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC where she was in charge of a 30 million dollar budget. She was responsible for all weddings and major fundraisers. She subsequently held Director of Catering positions at the five star Stanhope hotel and the Times Square Millenium hotel.

Chip is a CPA who has held corporate management financial positions for Ritz Carlton, Sheraton, and Hilton Hotels. He was in charge of the construction of numerous hotels for Morgans Group and Sovereign management in New York City, Florida, and Connecticut.
